about

The bloom EP is an international collaboration about being an artist in the modern world. Across its short, four-track run, bloom discovers the true magic of musicianship in one breath, before becoming disenchanted with it in the next. Se la vie!

Blending the clean, pop, maximalist production of Joe Turone with Justin the Flora God’s overdriven, saturated, minimal sound design, bloom’s sound caters to anyone who enjoys the indie pop aesthetic.

From the high-octane EDM drop of VAMPIRE to the relaxed acoustic performance on OCTOBER SONG, the sonic palate of the bloom EP is wide and varied. Elements of pristine pop and gritty lofi production are scattered throughout the project.

The bloom origin story: Inspired by the likes of Joji, Jon Bellion, and Hozier, the bloom project was an afterthought of Joe’s after appearing on Justin’s music interview podcast, So, Who’s Up Next? We kicked files back and forth for the following year, ending up with the final four tracks that made it onto the project.

The bloom EP has received support from BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire and Amazing Radio whilst accumulating 5k streams on Spotify prior to its full release.
